I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love any song Cody Carnes and Kari Jobe are involved with.

Naturally, it felt right to highlight one of Cody Carnes’ latest for Spotlight Thursday!

Here’s a breakdown of “Run to the Father” by Cody Carnes:

What I love about the guitar here is the building of the guitar over the entire song. At the beginning of the song, you’ve got some simple chords.

Then, you add a little strumming with the chords. By the end of the song, I’m just hoping I don’t break strings with how hard I want to hit those things!
