This week’s Spotlight Thursday is “This is Amazing Grace” by none other than Phil Wickham.

There’s a lot that I love about this tutorial. One, it shows learning guitar doesn’t have to be complicated when you’re getting started.

If you play in a familiar family of chords, like the chords in G major for example, you don’t really need to move your fretting hand a whole lot – as long as you’ve got a capo to adjust the key as needed, you’re golden!

Also, the strumming adds a percussion element to the song, too. Anyway, the guitar part of this song is crucial to its overall sound, and as the guitar player, you can own it & rock it when you play it live!
