We’ve had some chilly weather down South, but if we’ve got to stay warm inside, that’s a perfect time to talk & learn about music.

Especially when it’s for bass! 🙂

I just love how much support the bass adds to the song!

Did you know: a 4-string bass has the same notes as the top 4 strings on a guitar – just an octave lower?

In fact, I think bass is a great place to start if you’re wanting to dive into the world of guitar playing.

Some benefits of learning bass vs. guitar:

>> 4 strings versus 6
>> One note (usually) fretted at a time versus multiple
>> Bigger strings & frets versus smaller on guitar (more forgiving on positions)
>> EVERYONE feels your presence live versus competing in similar frequencies with keys & acoustic guitars

Alright, I might be a little biased myself. 🙂

But I think you should give learning bass a shot!
