Happy Thursday!

It’s almost the weekend! Woooo!

I absolutely love getting to learn new music and especially new music that is requested by our private Rooted Music Worship Community Facebook group 🙌🏻

They recently requested that we teach the song “King of Kings” from Hillsong Worship,

So I learned it and created a tutorial for it.

But, what struck me more so than the song or melody, were the lyrics…

And I wanted to share them with you today…

Specifically Verse 4’s lyrics, which come in after Verses 2 & 3 speak about Jesus’ death and resurrection:

“And the Church of Christ was born
Then the Spirit lit the flame

Now this gospel truth of old
Shall not kneel shall not faint

By His blood and in His Name
In His freedom I am free

For the love of Jesus Christ
Who has resurrected me”

The very act of Jesus death, was the same act that brought about freedom for you and for me.

What an amazing truth to sing about, remember and proclaim today!

I know we usually reserve songs like this for the Easter season, but it’s so good to do think on this each and every day of our lives!

And how amazing to have this song and others, which give us beautiful melodies to sing out these truths – truly incredible!

So, today I’d love for you to do two things..

1 – Rejoice in the freedom Christ has brought you through His death, burial and resurrection

2 – Check out this “King of Kings” tutorial above to see if it might be one you’d like to learn.

I love empowering people just like you to be able to lead themselves and others in worship by learning amazing worship songs like this one.

So, take a moment and check out the tutorial we have for you here –

At the very least you’ll have an incredible song of worship to play and sing on your own,

But, maybe, you might even be able to lead someone else in worship with this song too 🙂
