I grew up in Mesquite, TX with a family deeply rooted in their faith and full of musical talent. My dad first taught me to play the piano when I was five years old, and he still to this day is the best piano player I’ve ever known. My family led worship every Sunday at my grandpa’s church. Music was a prominent part of my childhood and is a big reason it eventually became my career. 

I started out playing in high school in pop punk and church bands. Eventually playing with Jonathan Tyler for a few years.  I took a long hiatus from music in my mid twenty’s and after a 5 year break from playing, an old friend asked me to play bass for his band and my passion for music was reignited. I played bass in his band, Two Ton Folk and then joined Grady Spencer & The Work as their bass player in 2018. I also joined the worship team at Paradox Church in 2018 and played lead guitar there for 4 years. Alongside continuing to play with Grady Spencer, my most recent endeavor has been solo music projects as Mister Grandma and playing on the worship teams at Watermark Church and Hulen Street  Church. 

I’ve worn many hats in my music career playing bass, electric guitar, keys, and vocals, as well as recording and music producing. I am incredibly grateful for the gift of music the Lord has given me and I’m so excited to share that with my students. I look forward to walking alongside you as you develop your own musical talents!
