My passion for music began at a young age and my first exposure to music education came through performing in chorus in elementary school. From there, I played saxophone for eight years through middle school concert band and high school marching band. I loved playing the saxophone, but my real passion was playing drums and while I was a woodwind player in school, I was constantly on the drum kit outside of school. I began playing in venues and small clubs at around seventeen years old, with several different original groups, all of which were different genres from the prior.
After I graduated high school, I chose to join the Marine Corps, where I developed
several unique skills and a passion for educating. Following my time in the military, I attended the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media, where I sharpened my skillset as a drummer and began playing live shows again. I have now toured the country with original acts from the Atlanta area and am confident in my abilities to teach others the amazing skill of playing the drums, with a fiery passion I still very much demonstrate.
