Guitar Coach
I’ve lived in Alpharetta since I was 4. I’ve always had a passion for music, and actually began my musical journey with Rooted in 2016 taking drum lessons. So with that I’ve always grown up admiring and learning from many amazing teachers along the way.
Somewhere along the line I realized drums just wasn’t my true passion and I decided to pick up the guitar. Immediately I fell in love and became obsessed with classic guitarists like Eddie Van Halen and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Many new artists too, like John Mayer and Mateus Asato. Throughout high school I studied hard to become just like my heroes. I was mainly self taught in the beginning, but I realized I needed more direction and guidance from a more “in tune” player. I began taking lessons at Rooted again, this time for guitar. It was awesome, and my playing and understanding of the instrument skyrocketed. After high school I went to Murfreesboro to study Music Business at MTSU. This brought me many great opportunities to play live and be around others my age who loved music too. The proximity to Nashville helped me meet a lot of great people.
Growing up in the North Point Community Church world, I’ve always aspired to play guitar for them. I currently play for Transit, and love every second of it.
Teaching at Rooted gives me the amazing opportunity to give back what I’ve received growing up. I’ve always held so much respect for my coaches because they’ve shown true care for me and my playing/progress. I believe it is an amazing way to use the talents God has given to me for his Glory not mine, and I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity.
