Guitar and Bass Guitar Coach

I have always been fascinated with music for as long as I can remember. One of my earliest memories is watching my grandfather play with his band in his backyard. So much so that he is the one that gave me my first guitar when I was 9 years old. However, like most kids it just sat in my room and collected dust. I then started taking formal music lessons when I signed up for violin lessons when I was eleven years old.
This was soon just a gateway for me. When I started high school, I just fell in love with understanding music in all forms, and found myself dividing my time between violin, piano, and guitar lessons. All of this allowed me to eventually attend college to study music, however the Lord had different plans for me. I surrendered my life to Christ while working on my undergrad, and transferred to Richland Community College not long after I moved home. During this time, I began to attend a local bible believing church while finishing my associate in arts with a Focus on Music. After this I transferred to Dallas Baptist University where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Music Business with an emphasis on Recording Engineering. While working on my degree at DBU, I began playing in multiple rock and worship bands while also volunteering with a youth group in Crowley Family Fellowship and soon felt the call to ministry. I eventually became the worship leader at CFF where I remained until I finished at DBU.
While working as a full-time youth minister, I had a deep desire to understand true biblical worship, which eventually lead to me start my Masters of Worship Leadership at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in the fall of 2020. I had many incredible opportunities to serve in multiple ensembles while studying at SWBTS, including a fall and spring tour, and one opportunity to lead at the SBC Convention in Nashville Tennessee.
I am currently serving as the praise team director at Trinity Christian Academy where I have the blessing and privilege of working with students to improve their musical skills while also guiding them on true gospel saturated worship.
Even though I have always loved playing and leading worship, teaching is a new love that the Lord surprised revealed to me unexpectedly. I consider it a privilege to be able to teach and find great joy in it!
