Daniela Podobea

Voice Coach

Daniela Podobea is an International Operatic and Symphonic Soprano who grew up in a family of musicians and opera singers. At the age of 7 she started playing piano then later obo and voice following her admittance to the prestigious Gheorghe Dima Conservatory in Romania where she obtained her MFA in Performing Arts. Although she moved continents, Daniela went on to develop a career as an operatic Soprano living in Los Angeles California performing as guest soloist to Rene and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall with California Philharmonic Chorale, Pasadena Convention Center, Global Musical Bridges in West Hollywood and more.

Faith has always been a central focus in Daniela’s life as she recently obtained a five year certification in Theology from Ekklesia Bible College and she has served as a worship leader in different Christian Congregations throughout the United States and Romania. She taught Voice for more than 15 years, to adults and children. She managed and produced a girls worship band and last year was the children’s choir director at a private Christian school in Orange County, CA. Her goal as a Voice Teacher with Rooted Music Coaching is to guide the students to understand and develop their vocal instrument to their highest potential. The Human Voice is one of the most complex, influential and powerful Wind instruments in the world. Singing is a magnified speech combined with the language of music. The Voice is like any other instrument that you learn, study and practice hours to improve its tonality and effortlessly use it. To manage it it takes a great effort to balance the intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual. Part of this effort consists in specific vocal warm ups, breathing exercises, singing through straw technique, and much more. On this vocal discovery and development journey, Daniela concludes that the Best Voice Teacher in the Universe is God.
